Onion (sliced) ۲ (۲۸۰ gr.)
Veal shank ۴ slices (800 gr.)
Turmeric (powdered) ۱ tsp. (3 gr.)
Frying oil As needed
Salt As needed
ground black pepper As needed
Eggplants (unpeeled) ۴ (۴۴۰ gr.)
Tomatoes (halved) ۳ (۳۰۰ gr.)
Grenadine ۱/۳ cup (50 gr.)
Place onion in a saucepan, arrange meat on them. Sauté onion in oil, add to pan with pepper. Place whole eggplants on meat, top with tomatoes; cover. Cook over medium heat about 3 hours. Add grenadine and salt at the last moments of cooking. Place in serving plates. Serve.
